12/29 - Representative Scott Perry is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on 12/29 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Franklintown Community Fire Company's Hall. "I encourage everyone from Franklintown, Dillsburg and the surrounding area to participate in the blood drive," Perry said. The goal is to collect 40 units of blood. COMICS BECOME RESPECTABLE, or “From Zap to Maus” by Chris Mautner, author of the weekly comics column “Graphic Lit” for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.  He looks at comics moving from stepchild status to current hip cachet, drawing a distinct line from the underground movement of the 1960s and 70s to the “indie” scene of the 80s and 90s to the “graphic novel” of today. This event is being held at the Dillsburg Library at 7 PM.

KID FREE SHOPPING AFTERNOON - Northern York Community Services Foundation (NYCSF) is sponsoring a "Kid Free Shopping Afternoon" on December 8, 2007 from 1PM - 5PM.
