11/1-American Cancer Society Relay for Life Planning Committee Meeting at 7PM at the Monaghan Presbyterian Church

11/3-NYCSF presents Pro Wrestling Entertainment on November 3, 2007 at the Sports & Learning Center, Dillsburg. Doors open at 6 PM, Bell at 7 PM. Ticket Prices: Ringside advance $10; Ringside at door $12 - Advance General $8; General at door $10. Ticket Outlets: Lynn Market, Choice Outlet, Grubers RX. Tickets will also available at the Car Show held on September 2 at Haar's Drive-in. For more information call: 717-432-2079.

11/8-Veterans Day Breakfast Program - The Social Studies Department at Northern High School; will be hosting a Veterans Day Breakfast at 8 AM in the high school cafeteria. Interested veterans may sign up at the Dillsburg American Legion, the VFW, or by calling the high school at 432-8694 ext 2213. Following the breakfast, Colonel John Hinkley will be the speaker for the program in the high school auditorium. Those attending the Veterans Day breakfast should park in the visitors' spaces outside the high school auditorium.

11/4-Pork & Sauerkraut Dinner held at the Monaghan Fire hall from 11 AM to 2 PM. Cost for Adults: $8.00; Children 4-12: $4.00. Buffet meal includes: pork & sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad bar, rolls & butter, coffee, tea, punch and dessert.

11/8-Comics 101 or "When Superman Reigned Supreme" by Ed Griffie, Jr., an independent local cartoonist, who has been collecting and studying comic books and graphic storytelling since 1974. He designed the poster for the season's library programs. This event will be at the Dillsburg Public Library beginning at 7 PM.

11/11-Whoopie Pies- The GFWC Dillsburg Women's Club is now taking orders for their famous home made Whoopie Pies for delivery on November 14th. The cost is $1.75 each.  This project is one of our fund raisers for helping to fund many community projects, including ACS Cancer Relay For Life, which is being held June 20th and 21st, 2008 at Bostic Stadium.  Please call Ethel, 766-4474, Pam 432-3224 or Marg at 432-4264 to place your orders.  Deadline to order is November 11th.

11/18-SPIRIT FEST, a praise and worship service will be held at Monaghan Presbyterian Church on Sunday November 18th at 7 p.m. at the church, 1185 Gettysburg Pike, Dillsburg.  As always,  there will be music of praise and worship led by the S.O.A.R. Band, a time of caring and sharing, scripture.  Our guest for this service is Mrs. Baughman who will discuss wholeness and healing, a topic very close to her and how very personal it is to her in some of her own life experiences.  The service is very casual and you can invite and bring as many people as you'd like to share in this time of worship and praise.

11/25-Holiday House Tour sponsored by the Northern York County Historiacal and Preservation Society (NYCHAPS) and Dillsburg Area Business Association (DABA) from 1-5 PM. The nine sites include 18th century throuhg 21st centruy era homes, as well as the historic Dill Tavern and St John's Lutheran Church. House Tour tickets are $10 before the day and can be purchased at the Blossom Shop, 43 S Baltimore Street and Gruber's Pharmacy, 18 S Baltimore Street. on the day of the tour, tickets can be purchased at the Dill Tavern, 227 N Baltimore St, for $12.
