06/22-06/23 - 8TH ANNUAL DILLSBURG RELAY FOR LIFE - In the world of fairy tales, a “happily ever after” ending is anticipated.  Unfortunately in the world of cancer, this is not always the case but it is what Relay for Life strives for-more happy endings birthdays.  The 8th annual ACS Dillsburg Relay for Life will be held at Robert Bostic Field (located on the Northern York County School District High/Middle School Campus) starting at noon on Friday, June 22nd and ending on Saturday, June 23rd at noon.  Teams will be creating their own chapter for “Once Upon a Cure” as they walk for 24 hours because CANCER NEVER SLEEPS.   Please help by signing up to walk.  Games, music, a car show, movies, and food are all on the agenda.  A “Survivors Reception and Ceremony” will start at 6 P.M. on Friday followed by the “Luminaria Remembrance Ceremony” at 8:45 P.M.  If you are a survivor and/or a caregiver please attend this celebration of life gathering.  A golf tournament will be held on Friday, May 18th at Mayapple Golf Club with a 1 P.M. shotgun start.  Our goal is to provide “Hope and Joy” to those who have been touched by cancer.  The community is reminded that Relay Teams are still in the planning stages and anyone who is interested in forming a team, being part of one, or would like to help in anyway, contact Kim Weaver at 432-8314 or visit us at  www.relayforlife.org/padillsburg.
