09/03, 10, 17, 24- Dillsburg Farmer's Market at 117 N Baltimore Street, Dillsburg next to Sweet Things from 8:00 am to noon.

09/10 - 6th Annual Balderdash Homebrew Festival at Dills Tavern & Plantation from 12-5 pm - Celebrate the history of distilling and talk shop with local folks who make their own beer, wine and spirits! Enjoy beer-making demonstrations, live music, hand-rolled cigars, craft beer, and fresh food, all amongst the scenery of historic Dill's Tavern and Plantation. Guests must be 21 or older. Entry is a $20 donation tot he Northern York COunty Historical and Preservation Society. Any home brewer who would like to register to bring beer for tastings, please email Mike Lintal at or call 717-502-1440.

09/13, 09/20, 09/27 - Preschool Storytime at the Dillsburg Library is every Tuesday beginning at 10:30 am. It's geared towards ages 3-5, but all are welcomed. Children will enjoy stories and a craft.

09/15, 09/22, 09/29 - Toddler Time at the Dillsburg Library is every Wednesday beginning at 10:30 am for ages 0-3 and their caregiver. Children will enjoy stories and a craft.

9/15 - Block Party at the Dillsburg Library beginning at 6:00 pm. Come ready to build! For kids who are too young for Lego Club, ages 3-5 with a parent or caregiver.

09/15 - Public Community Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15th beginning at 7:00 pm at the Carroll Township Municipal Building, located at 555 Chestnut Grove Road, Dillsburg. Special presentations will be made by the York County Board of Commissioners, York County Heroin Task Force, York County Dept. of Emergency Services, York County Conservation District and the York County Planning Commission. Light refreshments will be served.

09/17 - Agriculture Day at Dill's Tavern & Plantation from 9am to 3pm. Celebrate harvest season with NYCHAPS at Agriculture Day. This year's event will feature a local butcher and his demonstration on how to dress a hog and make various cuts of pork sausage and scrapple. Other demonstrations include sauerkraut making, cider pressing, wheat flailing, winnowing and flour grinding, and potato chips. Pork products, sauerkraut and freshly made potato chips will be available for sale. Come and see how our ancestors made Pennsylvania Dutch food delicious and famous.

09/17 - Northern High School Alumni Association Chicken BBQ held on Saturday, September 17th from 11:00 am till SOLD OUT! at Shumaker's Garage located at 601 Rt 15 South, Dillsburg. Chicken BBQ dinner will include 1/2 BBQ chicken baked potato, apple sauce, a dinner roll and bottled water for $8.00. To Pre-order your dinner, please contact Kelley Moyer-Schwille at 717-439-8023.

09/17 - Dream Catcher Workshop from 1-4 pm at Maple Shade Barn. The dream catcher, which originated with the Ojibwe indigenous American tribe, was used to trap dreams as they flew by. The positive dreams knew how to slip thorough the dream catcher and slip down the feathers to the person sleeping below. The bad dreams, not knowing the way,became entangled in the web and evaporated with the first light of day. The circle represents the cycle of life. the four spokes represent the four directions, the four colors of man and the four faces of man (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual). According to another account the web is to be used to help yourself and your people to reach your goals and make use of people's ideas, dreams and visions. If you believe in the great spirit, the web will catch your good ideas and the bad ones will pass through the center opening. Basic material and construction will be provided; if there are special mementos or gemstones you would like to include feel free to bring them along to include in your personalizes dream catcher.

09/19 - Fire Insurance Maps & Historic Dillsburg beginning at 6:30 pm at the Dillsburg Library. What began as a means for insurance companies to assess risk, fire insurance maps now serve as rich documentation of the growth and modernization of American cities through the early 20th century. Cartographer Valerie Sebestyen will discuss features of these maps and present images of historic Dillsburg.

09/21 - Bedtime Story Time at the Dillsburg Library beginning at 6:00 pm. Wear your PJ's to listen to author Lori Cannella read her book "Isabella Cannella and the Great Big Rainbow Ball". Milk and cookies will be served. Registration is not required.

09/22 - The Tech Guru will be at the Dillsburg Library to answer all your tech device questions.

09/26 - Learn to play Mahjongg beginning at 6:00 pm at the Dillsburg Library. Esther Atherholt will teach participants the basics of Mahjongg, a popular tile game that originated in China. Call the library at 717-432-5613 to register for this free and fun program.
